Walk straight in to a hallway with wooden floors, lots of wellies waiting for you and hooks for coats โ this is grand walking country. Then into the library which has a gorgeous mix of fiction, non-fiction, local interest, nature books and children's books โ pick something interesting and settle here or take it to the sitting room where you'll find comfy armchairs, a sofa and a wood-burning stove.
The open-plan kitchen is very well equipped. Locally roasted coffee beans are provided along with a high grade coffee grinder. The kitchen table faces the views. During the summer months you can watch the sailing boats go past, and the Waverely dock at the pier. On warm days you can open the doors to the terrace, hear the birdsong and even spot some deer strolling past.
Bedrooms are up separate staircases: two sharing a staircase, and the third at the other end of the house. There's an extra loo and utility room downstairs. Walks start from the door.
The library offers a peaceful space to read, study, and work (should you have to work on holiday!) It has a desk facing the view.
There is a shop within walking distance, detailed advice for shopping and arrival at the cottage will be provided after booking.
